Bachelor Party Ideas in Bali Before the Wedding

14Feb

To most people, Seminyak is the center for parties and celebrations. What better way to celebrate a man’s transition to husbandhood than to hold the rite of passage in the tropical island Bali?

Here is a quick, fun post by The Colony Hotel that lists the possible ways you can host a bachelor party. (Or buck, stag, bull party, or whichever party animal you associate yourself with!)

For the relaxed gentleman who enjoys places of thought

Maybe you’ve listened to Panic! At The Disco’s Death of a Bachelor a few times too many, and have pondered about how much you’re willing to let go of the life of a single man for a ‘lifetime of laughter’ – and actually enjoy the contemplation with your quiet-type friends.

Going off-grid is one way to do it.

Nyang Nyang Beach is a secluded beach in the southern peninsula in Pecatu. Once you’ve parked your vehicle, you can catch the clifftop breeze and take in the vista – sloped grassland, fewer people, and a serene stretch of golden sand. Maybe explore some shallow caves along the way.

You can also take your friends to Nusa Penida’s less popular beaches and cliff tops. On some days, Kelingking beach is pretty empty even though it’s a touristic area – the hundreds of steps required to get down to the beach is a turnoff for most people.

For the on-board party lovers – island hopping!

Yacht parties are pretty common in Bali, and you can take a trip with your friends to the Gili islands, Nusa Penida, or Nusa Lembongan. You can also simply circle around Bali, visiting Amed, Tulamben, Menjangan island, and back again to Seminyak if time allows it.

The tropical climate, calm sea and rich sea life provide ample opportunities for a splash in the cyan-blue sea and do some snorkeling. That is, if you’re not having a seafood BBQ or cocktail on board.

Dress up and have the best costume party at sea, take crazy photos of the best moment of your life – so far. Whether it’s to celebrate the “last day of being single” or just to have an excuse to bond with your mates one last time, there’s nothing wrong with splurging on a party like this.

For the adrenaline-crazy band of brothers.

A bachelor party can involve less booze and more physical challenges. If your idea of a bachelor party is to remain sober, but still refrain from responsible and sane acts, continue to read this section.

Bali offers so many activities from the simple fun to the extreme. You can create mayhem in the paintball warzone at Tropical Thunder, race a fast go-kart at Bali Go-karts Kuta, and challenge the white water rapids in Ayung River, Ubud.

Up for a different kind of challenge? Try jumping from a cliff into the sea at Mahana Point in Nusa Ceningan. At the site, there are two diving boards — the 5 meter and 10 meter.

Expect to pay a small fee of $4 USD for the big jump, and the $2 USD for the small jump. Is this outrageous? Think of it as insurance when things get a little crazy. You want to have a lifeguard watching over you and your friends, especially if you’ve never jumped before.

If the party has gone well, and the groom-to-be has reached the chapel on time to get married. The next step is the honeymoon phase. Luckily you wouldn’t have to look further for a hotel that caters to honeymooners. Privacy, peace, and style are three things that we take very seriously at The Colony Hotel, Seminyak.
