If you’re in Seminyak and identify as an alphabet in LGBT+ or a color on the spectrum, you’ve come to the perfect place. Bali’s gay scene revolves around specific areas in and around Seminyak with the main shebang taking place on Jalan Camplung Tanduk, formerly known as Jalan Dhyana Pura.

Queer or not, head over to Bali’s best gay bars for a fabulous nightlife experience in Seminyak filled with sexy drag shows and pride fever. The venues typically get filled in by the gay and transgender community, or even straight couples or holidaymakers looking for an exclusive night out!

Bali Joe

Undoubtedly one of Bali’s most go-to gay bars is the two-time Audience Award-winning Bali Joe. Popular for its energetic drag shows, the club also features cute go-go dancers with audience participation in a sing-along to gay anthems. They are loved for their extravagant performances, including lip-synced female impersonators. Beyonce made it to their stage once! Bali Joe is a staple weekend gay bar for the LGBT community.

 

Mixwell Bar

Located next to Bali Joe is Mixwell Bar. The well-established gay bar is a buzzing place to hang out before hitting the clubs. Not unlike Bali Joe, the bar has a reputation for nightly drag shows, attracting a mix of gay locals, expats, and tourists. Mixwell Bar is the liveliest from 11pm to 2am.

 

Bottoms Up Bar

Another next door neighbor to Bali Joe is Bottoms Up Bar, a more low-key crowd compared to the other contenders. Bali’s long-running gay bar opens from 7pm to 3am offering nightly drag shows and six-pack abs go-go dancers serving refreshing cocktails to a hospitable crowd. The music ranges from pop, dance, and R&B.

 

F Bar (Face Bar)

F Bar comes to live at midnight when the drag queen parade starts, complete with ripped male dancers donning sexy costumes. Enjoy more action upstairs with pole dancing sessions and shower shows. Expect to meet Nicki Minaj, Whitney Houston, and other glamorous pop princesses!

 

Sky Garden

Sky Garden is a predominantly straight venue, however, once hosted Club PRIDE, a night dedicated to the LGBT crowd in the heart of Bali’s party central. This Kuta club opens every night and welcomes everyone, occasionally featuring top international guest DJ’s such as the likes of Afrojack and Steve Aoki.
